Jerauld Dahler graduated Cornell University about 1909. He developed a career in architecture, and designed several cathedrals, worked on schools and other prominent buildings on the east coast. At one time he kept a very prominent office on 5th Avenue in New York City. He had two of his own houses, the first he built on Wolfpit where he lived with his mother Phoebe and brother Warren. At some point he built his other home in Fairfield, CT. Both houses are still standing and in use. The love of his life was Lita Barnett; they were together for many years. She preceeded him in death, and he remarried Corinne Maxwell who stayed with him until he passed at the age of 91.
