Chris was born on August 31, 1964 to Sharon and Paul Bergendoff. He was an only child. He grew up in Glen Ellyn, IL. When he turned 18 he moved to Colorado to live with his mom and step-dad. Chris was a carpenter and did quailty work.
He contacted pneumonia in late June 2014 and by the time he went to the doctor in early July the infection was serious. He went into a coma on July 5 and was taken off life support on July 14 per his wishes. Chris was cremated, also per his wishes.
On August 31, 2014, the day what would have been his 50th birthday there was a celebration of life for Chris.
