OBITUARY :
SUDDEN STROKE OF APOPLEXY IS FATAL TO MRS. AVIS BIGELOW
MRS. AVIS EMOGENE BIGELOW, wife of James G. Bigelow, well known painter, of 644 West Elm street, died suddenly Saturday night at her home, following an attack of apoplexy. She had been ill for about three weeks, but fully recovered and was seemingly again in good health. While talking to members of the family she suddenly collapsed and died before aid could be summoned.
The deceased was 66 years of age and had been a resident of Lima many years. The husband and eight children survive. The children are: Walter E. Bigelow, Hamburg, North Dakota; William H. Bigelow, Lima; Mrs. Edith M. Pollitt Robertsdale, Alabama; J C. Bigelow, mail carrier, Lima; E. J. Bigelow, north Broadway, Lima; Mrs. Estella Shockey, of south Main street and Martha J. and Goldie C. Bigelow, at home. Two sisters, one in Cleveland and one in Oberlin also survive.
Arrangements for the funeral services have not been completed, the burial will probably take place at Ada.
