David Hansen was my childhood friend. I have memories of him dating back to kindergarten. We were friends all through school. His nickname was "Piesie." When he passed away, we were in our first year of high school and he sat next to me in Algebra. It was so difficult to see that empty seat for the remainder of the semester. I was constantly expecting him to be sitting there when I walked into class. Graduation was particularly difficult but life went on for all of us. David died as a result of a motorcycle accident. I've never forgotten David and think of him all the time. I often wonder what he would have done with his life. He was exceptionally sweet, very good looking and had a lot of friends.
His grave stone reads, "He meant so much to so many. He was so easy to care about."
His entire family is gone now. They all rest together, next to one another at Glendale Forest Lawn.
