He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Eleanor; sons Jeffery and Carl Akerlind ; step-sons Richard (wife Renee) Griesbeck, Dann Griesbeck, and Patrick (wife Linda) Griesbeck and a daughter Nora (husband Barry) Simmons; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Monday, July 8th at Northrop-Sassaman Funeral Directors, 19091 Northville Rd., (at 7 Mile), Northville.
Neal will be in state on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 N. Haggerty Rd., Plymouth, MI, followed by his funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m
