QUIRIN BREY
Quirin (Pat) Brey, 73, of Route 1, Whitelaw, died unexpectedly Friday evening, Feb. 11, at home.
Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rev. Ronald Reimer will officiate at the Mass of Resurrection and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Brey was born Sept. 9, 1909, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late Michael and Augusta Raatz Brey. He married Mary Baumann Oct. 6, 1931, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. They operated the Brey Homestead farm where he lived at the present time. She preceded him in death August 23, 1979. Mr. Brey was a member of Holy Name Society II of St. Joseph Church.
Survivors include a daughter, LaVerne Novy of Route 1, Whitelaw; a brother, Edward of Hartford, Conn.; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mrs. Clara Wolf of Manitowoc, Ruth and Ralph Seigworth of Little Sturgeon, Wis., and Joseph Stedl Sr., of Menchalville; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Anna Brey and Mrs. Rose Brey both of Manitowoc; four grandchildren, Wayne, Keith and Lee Navy and Sharon Wegener; five great grandchildren, Jamie, Joey, Jaclyn, Melissa and Patty Novy. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, William and John, and four sisters, Anna, Amanda, Augusta and Mathilda.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday until the time of service. There will be a Holy Name Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and a prayer service 8 p.m. Monday led by Father Reimer.
