MARY CHERNEY (d. 1949)

Mrs. Paul Cherney, 76, of Kellnersville, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Adolph Fidler, of route 5, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Husar funeral home, Kellnersville, and at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic church, Kellnersville, the Rev. Frank Svatek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born Mary Chizek in Franklin in 1873 and in 1889 was married to Mr. Cherney. They located on a farm in Franklin, now operated by her son, Wencil, and retired 26 years ago, moving to Kellnersville. Mr. Cherney died three years ago. Mrs. Cherney was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge and the Rosary society of the St. Joseph church.

Survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. Frank Kellner of Maribel, Mrs. Adolph Fidler of route 5, Manitowoc, Mrs. Joseph Wiesner of route 2, Cato, Mrs. Peter Suidzinski of
Green Bay, Mrs. Joseph Krejcarek of Francis Creek, Mrs. Edward Petska of this city, Mrs. George Benschewel of Reedsville, three sons, Wencil of Franklin, John of Kellnersville, and Louis of this city; sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Havlovetz of Kellnersville; 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday, where the rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
