She moved with her husband to present-day Gilmer County, probably around 1814. They made their home near the mouth of Cedar Creek at the Little Kanawha River.
Their children include John R., Mary Ann, George J., Henry M., Isaac, Elizabeth Ann, Hamilton Chaney, James F., Jemima Permelia, Harvey Bradshaw, Jonathan M., Warren Wellington, and Susan Frances.
