She was the daughter of Isaac and Mary Ann "Polly" Mace Parsons.

She married George Houser Beall in present-day Barbour County (Randolph Co., Va) on Sept. 24, 1812 in a ceremony performed by Rev. Simeon Harris of Little Bethel Church. She moved with her husband to present-day Gilmer County, probably around 1814. They made their home near the mouth of Cedar Creek at the Little Kanawha River.

Their children include John R., Mary Ann, George J., Henry M., Isaac, Elizabeth Ann, Hamilton Chaney, James F., Jemima Permelia, Harvey Bradshaw, Jonathan M., Warren Wellington, and Susan Frances.
