Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, July 25, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Thursday and 7:30 – 10 AM Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.
Wilbert is survived by his wife, Delrose Seifert of New Ulm; daughters, Linda (Leroy Jr. "Butch") Flor, Karen (Steve) Carda, Lois Seifert all of New Ulm; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Melvin Seifert.
Wilbert Andrew Seifert was born May 8, 1929 in New Ulm to William and Emelia (Domeier) Seifert. He was united in marriage to Delrose Ludewig on January 22, 1952 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. After marriage they farmed in Sigel Township, Brown County and he also drove a milk truck for the Sigel Creamery from 1952 to 1958. Wilbert and Delrose moved to Orchard Hills in New Ulm in 2008. He enjoyed attending auctions, refinishing furniture, deer hunting, baseball, bingo and visiting with family and friends.
Wilbert was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the St. John's Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
