Richard L. Adamek of Waco, owner of National Security and Alarm Products, Inc., died Thursday at a local hospital. He was 40. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, the Rev. Ron Durham and the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Military graveside services will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Mr. Adamek was born March 6, 1953, in Waco. He graduated from Mart High School in 1971. He served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1976. He was a member of the Texas Army National Guard. Mr. Adamek married Kyong Hui Han on Sept. 7, 1973, in Seoul, Korea. He was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, where he was a member of the International Sunday School Department. He was the owner of National Security and Alarm Products, Inc. for 10 years, working with several local banks and Savings and Loan companies. He was also a member of SPJST Lodge No. 35.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Olga and Calvin Adamek of Mart; two sons, Robert Adamek and Steven Adamek, both of Waco; a sister, Cathy Adamek of Austin; and two brothers, Paul Adamek of Riesel and David Adamek of China Spring.
