Milton Lloyd Lane Jr., 65, of 108 Oakdale Drive, Moyock, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Milton Lloyd Lane Sr. and Virginia Lee Lane. Mr. Lane served in the U.S. Army for six years, two of them in the Vietnam Conflict.
Mr. Lane is survived by a daughter, Virginia Marie Lane of Moyock; three sons, Richard L. Lane and wife, Alicia, Bobby G. Lane and Michael L. Lane and wife, Amber, all of Moyock; a brother, James W. Lane of Suffolk, Va.; two sisters, Carol L. Lane of Winfall and Andrea K. Lane of Elizabeth City; and four grandchildren, Michael Lane, Kristyn Lane, Kendal Hudson-Lane and Kayden Lane. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy N. Vaughan. A graveside service with full military honors by William Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060 will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10 a.m. at White-Lane Family Cemetery with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel and other times at the residence.
