H. Kohlmiller

Henry Kohlmiller of Milwaukee Wisconsin, a former longtime resident of Wood River area, and an employee of International Shoe Company at Hartford for 27 years died Monday at 8:30 PM in Deaconess Hospital, Milwaukee. He'd undergone surgery in the hospital two weeks ago today.

The body will be brought to Alton for funeral rites, and upon arrival here will be taken to Staten Chapel where friends may call after 4 PM Friday.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM in the Chapel.

A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kohlmiller members of a well-known Hartford area family, he was born July 13, 1897.

He was an aviator and World War I and a member of Wood River Post 201 American Legion.

Mr. Cole Miller moved from 138 Jennings Ave., wood River, to Milwaukee 15 years ago. In Milwaukee he had been employed at Albert Trost held tannery.

Survivors are his wife the former Marie Grenzbach of Wood River; two daughters, Mrs. Truman Hudson, Zion, and Mrs. Leon Fosha, Racine, Wisconsin; a son, Henry Jr, Franklin Louisiana; five sisters, Mrs. William S. Schillinger, Hartford, Mrs. Williams Stimson, Detroit; Mrs. Harold Lindley, Pocahontas, Mrs. Harriet Bauer, Granite City, and Mrs. Matt Waymire, Wood River; four brothers, Robert and Leonard, Wood River; Fred, East St. Louis, and Edmund, Caseyville, and 12 grandchildren,
