Born July 24, 1916, in Fulton County to John W. and Ida K. Strode Barker, he married Dorothy R. Moore on April 11, 1936, in Palmyra, Mo. She died Oct. 1, 1990. One grandchild also preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Martha Jean Harper of Willow Hill and K. Elaine Danner of Table Grove; one son, John L. of Beardstown; and one sister, Adelia Bottenberg of East Peoria.
He was a farmer all his life.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
