He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Neill S. Stewart Masonic Lodge and a member of Moslah Shriners. Mr. Langston was also a member of the Pine Level VFW and Disabled American Veterans. He attended Antioch PFWB Church. Preceded in death by parents Allen John and Eliza Lee Langston.
Survived by wife, Brenda Addison Langston; a son, Andy Langston and wife Eli of Erwin; daughters, Kimberly Gerlach and Amy Langston, both of Kingsport, Tenn.; a brother, Curtis Langston and wife Pat of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a sister, Brenda Jones and husband Carroll of Kinston; and grandchildren, John Allen Gerlach, Clayton Gerlach, Jessica Gerlach, Cayla McNabb, Caden McNabb, Cara Huskey and Nina Madison Langston.
