MIDDLETON - Evelyn M. Magnuson was born September 23, 1917, in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Hilma and Henning Johnson. She passed away on Friday, March 16, 2001. She was married to Roy Magnuson on February 16, 1940. They recently celebrated 61 beautiful years together.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Magnuson; her children, James (Hester) Magnuson, Mary (James) Loew, Mark (Carrie) Magnuson; and a son-in-law, Gerald Taylor. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Joan Taylor; her sister, Harriet Johnson; and her brother, Harold Johnson. She is additionally survived by her sister, Lillian Pack; nine grandchildren, Martha and William Magnuson, Anne (Scott) Bogen, Michael and Daniel Loew, Joy (Charles) Wade, Jason Taylor, and Stephen and Kathleen Magnuson.

Evelyn never said an unkind word about anyone. If her daily gentle kindnesses could be repeated each day by everyone, the world would be a perfect place.

Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Avenue, Middleton, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2001. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monona. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
