Richard Harrison Clausel of Hardin County, near Savannah, TN, and in the community of Crow Texas (Clausel Hollow)
made his home near the Head of the Whitlow Branch. He married Lou Ellen Baxter 1864-1930 Daughter of David Alexander Baxter 1933-1898 and Mary Ann Elizabeth Sanders 1836-1910. Their children, all born in Hardin County, TN, were: Cordia (Gaston Davis); Rosa A. (Nev Hendon and Jim Davison); Dannie (Lounettie Steward); Charley (Mae Duckworth); Lydia (Walter Gant & Felix Delaney); and Richard H. (Lillie Mae McMullen). With the untimely death of Richard Harrison Clausel in 1897, his widow, with six young children, was resourceful and smart. She reared her children to adulthood prior to her 2nd marriage to Francis Tidwell late in life. Richard's is the only grave, of 30-40 graves in Looney Cemetery, that has markings on his tombstone.
