Roberta J. Bailey, age 82, of Plainfield, OH, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at West Lafayette Health and Rehab.
She was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Muskingum County to the late Earl R. and Helen E. (Gibson) Angle.
She attended Plainfield High School and was a homemaker. Roberta enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, cross word puzzles, she collected lighthouses and owls, and was a devoted grandmother.
On July 16, 1950, she married Raymond A. Bailey, who survives. She is also survived by her son, Steven R. Bailey of West Lafayette; daughter, Karen Sue (Rodney) Vance of West Lafayette; three grandchildren, Christopher Shaw of California, Jason (Mickie) Shaw of Columbus, Steven R. Bailey of Plainfield; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Shaw and Riley Shaw; brother, Larry (Betty) Angle of California; sister, Irene (Frank) Webb of California. She is preceded in death by a brother Edwin.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 5, at 1:30 p.m. at Given-Dawson Funeral Home at Coshocton with Rev. Paul Gerycz officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 2 until 4 p.m., and until service time on Monday.
