Daniel was educated at Newell Elem School where he had just completed fifth grade. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was on the Home Federal North League Baseball Team and played in the Grand Island Jaycees Fall Football League. He enjoyed sports, art and working on computers. He also wrote comic books. Daniel and Ryan Pacula drown while swimming at Mormon Island.
