"Adeline Dorothy Wright, the beautiful little daughter of Alex and Emma Wright, passed away at Winner, S.D, Sunday morning at Dr. Sweet's hospital. She was born August 7th, 1915 and therefore being 3 years, 5 months and 12 days old. On Monday, 13th, her mother brought her up from their ranch home twelve miles south of town, remaining at Joe One Feather's home in the hopes of being nearer better attention. But as she did not improve, Dr. Sweet was called at 10 a.m. Friday, but on account of the terrible condition of the roads, was unable to make the trip before 4 p.m. He did not feel the case was so serious, and advised them to take her to his hospital at Winner, which the bereaved parents did the next day, Collice Gallineaux offering his car and services. But the little girl passed away at 8 o'clock Sunday morning, after arriving there at 8 o'clock the night before. Rev. Lambert conducted the funeral services and burial was in the Episcopal cemetery just south of town. Little Dorothy is the niece of George and Edward Gary, now serving their country 'somewhere in France'."
