Graveside inurnment services for Ruby Arlene Pringle, 84, Lawrence, KS, was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, KS. She died on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Ruby was born on March 19, 1928 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of William and Marguerite (Vogler) Deitrich.
She was a clerk in the produce department at Dillons grocery store on Massachusetts Street, for 23 years until she retired.
She married Charles Frank Pringle on November 22, 1946 in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death May 26, 2001.
Survivors include one daughter, Jill (husband, Melvin) Pringle Packer, Lawrence; two sons, Roger (wife, Linda) Pringle and Rod (wife, Diana) Pringle, both of Lawrence; a brother, David Higgins, of Oskaloosa, KS; a sister, Helen Miller, of Lawrence, KS; six grandchildren, (Brandon Grammer, Michael Pringle, Andrew Grammer, Mark Pringle, Kevin Grammer, Melissa Pringle Miller); and 14 great grandchildren.
The family greeted friends on Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
The family suggested memorials in her name to the Lawrence Salvation Army or the charity of donor's choice and sent in care of the mortuary.
