Wylma Griffith Eliseo, 94, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, at her home in Mobile, Ala. She was born May 22, 1920, in Kershaw, S.C., the daughter of Wylie and Ethel Seegers Griffith.
Wylma was graduated from Berry College in 1942, and spent the next 20 years traveling the world with the Red Cross. She eventually settled in Las Vegas with her husband, where she lived until moving to Mobile in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of 36 years, Joseph Eliseo; sister, Mary G. Hunter; and brother Bill Griffith.
She is survived by her step-daughters, Leslie Bott and Jodey Eliseo; sisters, Eugenia Antley, Frances Thronton, and Nancy Montgomery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at the cemetery in Jefferson, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Berry College, P.O. Box 490189, Mount Berry, GA 30149 or the Jefferson First Baptist Church, 102 N. Main St., Jefferson, SC 29718.
