Obit: Syracuse Herald -, March 26 1965 - Cortland - Services for G. Elmer Albro, 62, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beard Home, the Rev. William S. Calkins, pastor of the Homer Ave., Methodist Church officiating. Mr. Albro died Wednesday in his home at 7 Cleveland St. Born July 1, 1901 in Truxton, he was the son of George W. And Flora Rugg Albro. He resided in Homer most of his life and has been employed at Brockway Motor Co. for 25 years. He was a member of the Homer Ave Methodist Church and a retired member of the Homer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Lena Goddard Albro, two sons, Harold at home and Paul Albro of East Homer; three daughters, Mrs. Jean Banwell of Cortland, Mrs. Linda Burch and Miss Sandra Albro at home; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood. Cemetery Homer.
