JEAN BRISBIN Our much loved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Mildred Jean Turner Brisbin passed away July 24, 2014 in Roosevelt.. She was 94 years old. Jean was born March 18, 1920 in Moab, to Bert Brown and Rhoda Matilda Wilson Turner. She married the love of her life, Bill Brisbin on June 20, 1938, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 27, 1969. Jean and Bill moved to the Uintah Basin in 1947 where they lived on a farm and raised 4 daughters. In 1993, they moved to St. George, Utah. Bill passed away in 2001. Jean moved to Vernal to live with her granddaughter in 2011. Together, Jean and Bill, served a mission in San Antonio, Texas. She was active in the LDS Church and served in many different positions. She loved the Church and had a strong testimony. The most important part of her life was her family. She had 15 grandchildren, 61 great-grand-children and 30 great-great-grandchildren. She knew and loved them all. Jean leaves behind a legacy of hard work and love of family. She believed in being true to one's self and being the best kind of person possible. She is survived by her daughters, Billie Jean (Brant) Nelson of Hurricane; Judy (Charles) Bartlett of Smithfield; Linda (Keith) Nielsen of Myton, and Christine (Jim) Jarvis of Herriman; and one brother Gordon Turner, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, Roosevelt where a viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery, in St. George at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
