After battling for three weeks with typhoid-pneumonia, Anna Fishtorn, the sixteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fishtorn of Winamac died Friday morning, October 4. For over two weeks the girl had been hovering between life and death with a trained nurse in attendance, but the length of sickness so weakened her condition that her young body could not continue the unequal struggle. For the past two years she was a member of the Winamac High School but her illness at the beginning of school prevented her continuing this year. She was born in Chicago but came here with her parents when a small child and has lived here since. She is survived by three younger brothers besides her parents.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the residence with interment in the Winamac Cemetery.
