O. Maxcine Phillips, 88, of Concordia, Mo., passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo. Funeral services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia, with Rev. David Hackett officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in Sharon Cemetery in Drexel, Mo. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Concordia Ambulance District. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com Born March 30, 1922, in East Lynne, Mo., she was the daughter of the late James Selvy and Ellen Dillon Selvy. On Nov. 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to Carl R. Phillips and they resided in Concordia. Carl preceded her in death on June 24, 2003. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Concordia. Survivors include two sons, James W. Phillips and wife Georgia of Raytown, Mo., and Ronald R. Phillips and wife Jill of Blue Springs, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jay, Amy and Alisa Phillips, Marc and Stephanie Phillips; one great-grandson, Orion Phillips; one brother, David Selvy of Concordia; and several nieces and nephews.
