David A. Anderson, 80, of Logansport formerly of Royal Center passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:48 a.m., at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on September 6, 1933 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late George and Geraldine (Keeney) Anderson. On April 12, 1959, he married Jane C. Collier. She preceded him in death on January 9, 1990.

David was a Grass Creek High School graduate and a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a retired farmer and had also formerly managed Bonded Gas Station in Logansport. He was a member of Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center and an avid Purdue fan.

Survivors include his sons, Timothy D. Anderson (Shantel) of Danville and Michael A. Anderson of Logansport, daughter, Susan J. Hand of Logansport, brother, William "Bill" Anderson (Donna) and grandchildren, Shana Jamerson (Tim), Tayetim Anderson, Ashlyn Nave (Ryan) and Aubrie Anderson, step grandchildren, Joshwa Adams, Nickolas Adams and Elizabeth Adams and great grandchildren, Kylie Jamerson and Braylon Jamerson.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Alice Turnipseed.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center with Pastor Richard Utterback officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
