. Gen. Bridges Wife Dead
Last Days Spent at Son's Home at South Deerfield
Mrs. Jennie E. Taylor, wife of General B. F. Bridges, died at the home of her son, E. T. Bridges in South Deerfield early Friday morning. Mrs. Bridges came there about a week ago for a short visit and was taken seriously ill Tuesday night. Mrs. Bridges was born in Amherst 58 years ago. In 1866 she married General B. F. Bridges, now warden of the state prison. Most of her married life was spent in South Deerfield where she was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Con'l Church and a constant attendant.
She leaves besides her husband, one son, Eugene T. Bridges, and two step sons, Corril E. Bridges of Charleston and Clifton L. Bridges of New Salem, also two brothers, Dwight Taylor of Charlestown and John Taylor of Springfield, and two sisters, Mrs. M. K. Bangs of Charlestown and Mrs. Brown of New York.
The funeral will be held at the home of her son, E. T. Bridges, Sunday afternoon at 1:30. The burial will be in Green River cemetery in Greenfield. Rev. John Cowan of South Hampton assisted by Rev J. B. Carruthers, will conduct the services.Obituary from the Greenfield, Ma.
