Austin Graves married Mary Ann Bishop in Paris, Oneida County, New York. They were the parents of five children: Bishop D. Graves (1820-1847); Dwight Graves (1823-1825); Calvin Graves (1825-1873); Mary Jane Graves (1829-?); Dorphus Dwight Graves (1835-1887).

After Austin's death on 28 Jan 1838, Mary Ann married Amos Clay Willison/Wilson, a farmer who was born in Virginia. The 1850 Census has listed Elizabeth Graves, age 5 (b. 1845) living with the family in Marion, Marion, OH. Is she a granddaughter?
