Roxie Sue Chambers, 77, of Shawnee, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born Aug. 2, 1936, in Oklahoma City to Monroe and Jessie Friar.

She attended Shawnee High School.

She married Preston "Bud" Chambers.

She dearly loved her family, and she gave God's charity to all. She especially loved children, taught children's church and interacted with children as Rocky the Clown.

She worked at BancFirst.

She was a member of Cross Connections Church, and C3 Homeless Outreach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, one brother, one son, and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include two brothers, Marty Friar and Mark Friar; six sons and their spouses, Tony and Diana Herington of Kansas, Terry and Judy Kyle of Kansas, David and Vicky Chambers of Colorado, Don and Glenna Chambers of Shawnee, Dale and Jeannie Chambers of Shawnee, and Danny and Donna Chambers of Tecumseh; 14 grandkids; 30 great-grandkids; 10 great-great-grandkids; longtime companion, Nim Hayes; and chosen daughter, Cheryl Bowden.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, at Cross Connections Church with Leroy Kerbo officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
