Daughter of William Augustus Armstrong and his 2nd Wife Margaret Peggy Kirkpatrick;

Wife of James E Berry, whom she married in Craigsville, Augusta County, Virginia on 25 November 1828;

Mother of Margaret Jameson Jr. Berry, Elizabeth "Betty" Armstrong Berry, James Augustus Armstrong Berry (who was killed in the Civil War at Fort Delaware, Newcastle, Delaware)and Martha Susan Berry.

Margaret died in 1849 .... it appears that she died in childbirth with her 4th child, but we have been unable to find exact documentation. Her husband remarried shortly after her death as he had so many children to be raised.

Margaret is buried in the Old Lebanon Cemetery near her parents and her siblings....... her husband, James Berry, even though he had two more wives and lived many more years, is buried alongside Margaret and her family in the Old Lebanon Cemetery.

Margaret's headstone is one of the many that no longer stand.
