Frank Murray, 89, died at St. Luke's Hospital Davenport, Tuesday, May 22, 1973. Mr. Murray and his wife Kate have resided in Simpson's Rest Home at 917 Devils Glen Rd. in Bettendorf, Iowa 52722 the past several years.
• • Mr. Murray was born in Pocahontas County and married Kathryn Branigan Pocahontas in 1908. They find in the Pocahontas, Fonda and Varina area for a number of years. After moving to Davenport in early forties, Mr. Murray worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 15 years, retiring from that position in 1958.
Survivors include a daughter Thelma, Mrs. Andy Strodtman, DeWitt, Iowa; son Marlon of 10 Waverly Court in Davenport; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held in our Lady of Lourdes Church at Bettendorf, Thursday, May 24th, and burial was in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
