Timey was the oldest child of Joshua Brittain and his second wife Lavina Stilwell. She married James William Watson May 25, 1893 in Burke Co. James was the son of James Watson and Rebecca Wilson. Timey and James had 10 children: Albert, Fannie, Kelly D., Edgar, Daniel, Flossie, Arthelia, Della, Lois, and Geneva. Their son, Edgar, was single when drafted into service during World War II. He was missing in action.
