Bobbie Jo "BJ" Newton, 27, of Marcus Run Road, Waverly, Ohio passed from this life 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Adena Pike Medical Center E.R., Waverly, Ohio.
She was born January 6, 1987 in Chillicothe, Ohio the daughter of Robert E. Newton and Debra (Thompson) Newton.
Also surviving are fiancé, Jeremiah Clark and daughter, Ylexia Mellony Clark, brothers and sisters, Jeremiah Thompson and Mindy Gee, Jeri Kory and husband Joshua, Wayne A. Newton, Amy Robinson and husband Tony, Shane L. Wright and Jaimie Newton, maternal grandparents, Raleigh and Elsie Thompson, nieces and nephews, Bradley A. Thompson, Hannah Kory, Chase Newton, Mikayla Robinson, Andrew Robinson, Ryleigh Sabo, Kaylynn Sabo, aunts and uncles, Pam and Maderia Newton, Lillie and James Mullins, Irma and Sam Gillogy, Thelma Flesch, Marla and Robert Taylor, Vicki and Keith Roberts, Lisa and Terry Kennedy, Tonya and Dave Hawk, cousins, Brittany and Derek Hawk, father and mother-in-law, Dan and Juanita Clark.
Bobbie Jo was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pauline and Floyd Newton, nephews, Austin Thompson and Lucas Allen Newton and brother-in-law, Michael Sabo.
She was a mother and homemaker. She graduated from Piketon High School Class of 2005 with High Honors.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home in Piketon, Ohio with Pastor Alan Newberry, officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio.

A one-vehicle crash on River Road on Wednesday night (July 30,2014) resulted in the death of a Waverly woman.
According to the Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bobbi Jo Newton, 27, was transported to Adena Pike Medical Center by Pike County EMS after the crash, where she succumbed to her injuries. The crash, which occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m., reportedly happened when Newton was traveling northeast on River Road. According to the Patrol, Newton's vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree, and came to rest in the Scioto River.
A juvenile passenger in Newton's vehicle, Ylexia M. Clark, 8, of Waverly, was transported to Adena Pike Medical Center by Pike County EMS and was released with minor injuries.
The Chillicothe Post was assisted on the scene by Piketon Fire/Rescue, Pike County EMS, and the Pike County Sheriff's Office.The crash remains under investigation.
