Corrie attended grade school at St. Phillips and graduated from Belleville Academy of Notre Dame High School. She was a parishioner at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, Ill. As the owner and operator of "Corrie's Home Day Care" for over 25 years, she touched the lives of many children.
Corrie was a loving, supportive wife, a wonderful mother and a proud grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her. She loved music and would often be found dancing to Rod Stewart's "Forever Young" with her husband and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise, nee Boyer, Abright; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Maryann Verbeck.
Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Charles Verbeck, who was by her side daily during her lengthy illness; her children, Christopher Verbeck of Fairview Heights, Ill., Kimberly Verbeck Koch of Milwaukee, Wis., and Casey (Lisa) Verbeck of Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren, Lucy Koch, Avery Verbeck and Miles Verbeck; a brother, Mark Abright of O'Fallon, Ill.; three sisters, Lynn (Terry) Ruegg of Wentzville, Mo., Renee Abright of Maryville, Ill., and Kathy Abright of Seattle, Wash.; her brothers-in-law, Joseph (Janet) Verbeck of O'Fallon, Ill., Bill (Paulette) Verbeck of Maryville, Ill., and Jerry (Shirley) Verbeck of Shelbyville, Ind.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
