Gayl B. Ayers Taken By Death
Gayl B. Ayers, 67, of 1810 Edgewood Dr. died Friday in a Stockton hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Kansas and came to Lodi area following her marriage to Glen Ayers in March of 1920.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Ayers of Lodi; one sister, Mrs. Arleen Beckman of Lodi; and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kopets of Lodi.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church, a charter member of the Omega Nu Society, a member of the Lodi Women's Club and various other social clubs.
Private funeral services will be held Monday in the chapel of Gierhart & Wells Funeral Home with Rev James Scherfee of the First Congregational Church officiating. Entombment will follow in the Lodi Memorial Mausoleum.
