André Demond Chinn, the eldest son of Isiah and Brenda Taylor Chinn, was born May 8, 1979. He was 25 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. He was baptized at an early age by the Rev. Emmit Spurlock. He was a 1997 graduate of Glen Oaks Senior High School. After high school, he was employed with the Louisiana Department of Administration as a mail operator.

Demond enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and he loved spending time with his only brother. He mostly enjoyed making and keeping others happy. Demond departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at his home.

Cherishing his memory are his parents, Isiah and Brenda Taylor Chinn; sister, Tameco T. Chinn; brother, Adrian R. Chinn; daughter, Auriana D. Chinn, all of Baton Rouge; fiancée, Andrea Cuartas; niece and godchild, Shaylyn B. Thomas; nephew, Jayden Chinn; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and an uncle, James Chinn.
