MICHAEL J. SHAY, ILL 3 YEARS, DIES
Michael J. Shay, 71, of 2129 S. Twelfth St., died at 7:05 p.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital after a three year illness. He was a former employee of the Baker Manufacturing Co.

He was born in Winchester, Sept. 17, 1876, and has lived in Springfield since 1905.

He is survived by his wife, Louie A; one son, William, of Bloomington; one stepson, J.E. Kennett, Carthage; four daughters, Sister Mary Dolores and Sister Maureen, both of Sisters Adorers of the Most Prescious Blood, Ruma; Mrs. Sara Meunieu, and Mrs. Helen Hayes, Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; one brother, John, Jacksonville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sullivan, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Kate Connelley, Woodson.

He was a member of St. Patrick's church.

The remains were taken to the Kirlin & Egan funeral home.
