Shirley May Bartlett age 82 of Missoula passed away on Monday July 28, 2014 at St. Patrick Hospital of natural causes.

She was born on July 30, 1932 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado to Ted and Ouida Simmons. As a young girl she lived on a dairy farm with her parents, and sister Donna and brother Rodney.

On January 6, 1952 she married Bennie Dale Bartlett. The couple lived in Ft. Collins, Co. They had two children Duane and Renee. The couple moved to Missoula in 1976. Shirley worked as a bank teller, a church secretary and for the mental health center.

She was an active member of the First Christian Church. She loved to sing and play the piano and was in the church choir and Sweet Adelines.

Shirley was involved with DAR and TOPS, the Missoula Senior Center quilting group, and various other organizations. She enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle.

Shirley was a loving wife, and mother. She was very active and involved with her grandchildren and great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Ted Simmons and grandson Mitchell Gleason.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 4, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. At Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery
