Mr. Billy Edgar Ward of Graham, Alabama, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014. He was 86.
Mr. Ward was born in Graham, Alabama, on April 2, 1928, to the late Henry and Addie Stephens Ward. He was a farmer having worked for GoldKist growing poultry and also raising cattle on his farm. He was a member of Bethlehem Campground Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Beason Ward, Norris Ward, John Quincy Ward (J.Q.) and Coburn S. Ward.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Saxon Ward; his children, Wayne C. Ward (Pam), Jan Walker (Greg) and Melanie New (Chris); his grandchildren, Stefanie Ward Estep (Jamie), Whitney Walker Meigs (Tyler), Copeland Walker, Ashley Ann New, Cole Christopher New and Ansley Elise New; his great-grandchild, Emerson James Estep; and his brothers, Nathan Ward and Norman H. Ward.
Funeral services for Mr. Ward will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 3 p.m. EST from the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Wiggins officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Noles, David Noles, Copeland Walker, Cole New, Tyler Meigs and Jamie Estep. Interment will follow at Campground United Methodist Church in Graham, Alabama.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 3, 2014, from 1 p.m. until 3 pm.
