Lon Hummel Dies Sunday
Lon Blaine Hummel, 71, was found dead at his home southwest of Boonville Sunday morning. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Goodman and Boller Chapel with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Mr. Hummel was born May 25, 1892, in Chicago, Illinois. He came to this community about 40 years ago and was a painter by profession. He was married to Miss Corinne Windsor in Boonville. She preceded him in death in 1943. Surviving are three sons, Lonzo Hummel of Kansas City, Kansas, Lloyd Hummel of Los Angeles, Callifornia, and Wilber Hummel of Route 6, Columbia; and six grandchildren.
