Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., with a scripture service at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Visitation will continue on Monday prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Clark, SD.
Lorraine Mae Kelly was born on March 12, 1923 to Jessie and Carrie (Clyde) Hartley in Garden City, South Dakota. She was the oldest with five younger brothers. She attended school in Garden City and graduated from Garden City High School in 1942. She then attended Northern Normal and Industrial School in Aberdeen.
Prior to her marriage she taught school for a short time. On November 26, 1945 she married Charles A. Kelly at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark. The couple lived on a farm near Garden City. Lorraine was a housewife and also helped her husband farm. They farmed for 45 years until 1980 when they moved to Clark.
Lorraine enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest treasure. She enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren, baking, embroidery, reading, walking and gardening.
She was a member of St. Michael's Ladies Altar Society and president of Tops Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, and two brothers.
