Homegoing Celebration for Mr. L. W. Worthy of Decatur, Ga., will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Covenant Ministries, 3283 Columbia Woods Drive, Decatur, with remains placed in state at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Quincy L. Carswell, pastor, officiating. Interment Kennedy International Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel this evening (Tuesday) from 8:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Worthy; seven sons, Mr. Robert Worthy, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Worthy (Jackie), Mr. David (Ivy) Worthy, Mr. Len Worthy, Mr. Willie Worthy, Mr. Joseph Worthy, Mr. Daniel Worthy; niece/daughter, Mary Freeman; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives and friends.
