Dennis G. Du Chene, 56, of Harrison Township, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at his home. He was born July 6, 1948.
Mr. Du Chene retired from White Chapel Cemetery in Troy where he was employed as a sales counselor. He was a Vietnam veteran who served in the 25th Infantry. His family said he was proud of his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Diana; sons, Allen (Kristine) and Aaron (Jill); daughter, Alaina Matteson; grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, Ellie and Ashley; and brother, Richard (Linda).
Predeceased by his parents, Marcellus J Du Chene, and Bertha (Teno) Du Chene .
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, 168 Cass, Mount Clemens, with the Rev. William Davis and the Rev. Roxie Davis officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Additional visitation is 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Dennis was my Cousin , his family when he was young lived on the same street in Mount Clemens we lived on , and he and his wife went to the same school, L'anse Creuse High School.
I will always remember when he used to wear a gun and holster and a cowboy hat when he was a little boy and he would want to play Cowboys and Indians.
