LILLIAN MARIANNE "TODDLES' SULT

Lillian Marianne "Toodles" Suit was born North of Marble Rock, Union Township, Floyd County, the only daughter of Earl Henry "Ben" and Margaret Elizabeth (Luther) Thieman, and passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City.

She received her education in the Marble Rock Public Schools graduating in 1947. On November 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to Weldon Fox Sult at the United Methodist Church in Marble Rock.

They lived in Des Moines while he attended barber school and she was employed as a candy girl at a movie theater. Following his graduation they returned to Marble Rock where they enjoyed 58 years together.

Toodles' family was her number one priority. She actively supported her family in their activities and always said "That she and Weldon were the most fortunate people to have such wonderful grandkids " They will remember her for the many things she provided, especially her cooking, and the memories of the flavors, smells, and warmth from her kitchen. She loved entertaining, singing, dancing, and playing cards

She was actively involved in the life of the Marble Rock Community touching generations of lives. She was a bus driver for the Rudd Rockford Marble Rock Community School District for 38 years. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 387, UMW, Floyd County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Unit, Charles City Women of the Moose, Monday, Wednesday Bridge Club, various bowling teams, former member of the Mason City Sweet Adeline's for over 20 years, and a current member of the Heartland Harmony for the past five years.

Living family members include her loving husband of 58 years, Weldon of Marble Rock, a daughter Nancy (Larry) Glubka of Eugene Oregon; two sons: Joel (Rosemary) Sult of Allison, Jon (Rhonda) Sult of Marble Rock; seven grandchildren: Kelly Sult, Casey Sult, Kara (Adam) Halford, Jordan Glubka, Dustin Sult, Dena Sult, and Lilly Ann Glubka. Extended family members include her sister-in-law, Carol Thieman of Marble Rock, two nieces: Jennifer Thieman and Penny Thieman, and one nephew: Ryan "Ben" (Kellie)Thieman.

Toodles was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, William Thieman.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Toodles Sult Memorial Fund in care of the Marble Rock United Methodist Church, or American Legion Auxiliary Post 387, or the Hospice of North Iowa.
