ROSMARY A. (CROSS) GABLE, 79, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Rosmary graduated from Roanoke High School. She worked in medical records with Lutheran Hospital for 20 years, before retiring. She was a 50 year member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Rosmary enjoyed IU Basketball, jigsaw puzzles, crochet, going to the lake and NASCAR. Surviving are her son, Kevin (Mary) Cross of New Haven; daughters, Rebecca (Duane) Davenport of Fort Wayne and Jean Monnier of Yoder; stepdaughter, Terri (Kim) Herstad of Fort Wayne; stepson, James (Donna) Gable of Fort Wayne; stepdaughter, Wendy (Greg) McDonald of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Russel and Zaida Jordan; first husband, Keith Cross; and second husband, James Gable. Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor David Harrold officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at funeral home. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke, Ind.
