JoAnn Altendorf, 63, of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, North Dakota. JoAnn Altendorf was born March 13, 1942 in Drayton, North Dakota the daughter of Stanley and Elphie (Harstad) Bieganski. She grew up in Drayton, North Dakota and graduated from Drayton High School. She attended Mayville State College. She married Arnold Altendorf in St. Johns Church, Grafton, North Dakota and settled in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She worked at Century School for 15 years where she very much enjoyed working with the children. She was an active piano player, enjoyed cross-stitching, and bike riding with her husband Arnold.
She is survived by her husband Arnold of Grand Forks, children, Mark (Connie) Altendorf of Fargo, North Dakota, and Kimberly (Scott) Walters of Mandan, North Dakota, 2 grandchildren, Jared and Sydney Walters of Mandan, North Dakota, 1 sister Charlene (Jim) Seifert of Lansing, Michigan, and 2 brothers, Arlen (Charlotte) Bieganski of Deer River, Minnesota and Richard Bieganski of Drayton, North Dakota. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Services: 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 27, 2006 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Visitation: Thursday from 5-7 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service at the Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, Minnesota and 1 hour before services at the church.
