Delsman, Howard C.

Howard C. Delsman, age 80, a Whitelaw resident, passed away peacefully at Northridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, August 3, 2014 with his family at his side.

Howard was born April 15, 1934 in Manitowoc son of the late Joseph and Matilda (Zipperer) Delsman. He was a 1952 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On April 24, 1954 he was married to the former Ruth Tuschl at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Howard carried on the family tradition by running the 4th generation family farm in the town of Kossuth. He enjoyed hunting, gardening with his wife Ruth, traveling to learn more about the family heritage, watching his grandchildren's sporting events, playing cards with his relatives and most of all Howard loved to visit and socialize with family and friends. Howard is a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek and a past member of the Rockwood Fire Department.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years: Ruth Delsman, Whitelaw; his nine children and 20 grandchildren: Mike Delsman and his special friend (Karen Young), Manitowoc, and his children: Shane (Keri) Delsman; Jason Delsman and his special friend (Lisa Wilke); Lacey (Ben) Landgraf; David (Becky) Delsman, Greenleaf, and their children: Cody Delsman; Luke Delsman; Pat (Ann) Delsman, Whitelaw, and their children: Amanda Kapitz and her special friend (Shannon Barnaby); Brooke (Dustin) Paider; CJ Delsman and his fiancée (Charlee Vallejo); Steve (Bonnie) Delsman, Manitowoc and their daughter: Ashley Delsman; Jim Delsman, Manitowoc, and his children: Stacey (Craig) Schweppe; Kristina Delsman; Kimberly Delsman; Jessica (Brent) Dehne; Chuck Delsman and his special friend (Kim Temple), Whitelaw, and his children: Amber Delsman; Adam Delsman and his special friend (Danielle Bries); John (Patti) Delsman, Manitowoc, and their daughter: Kari (Matt) Graff; Sharon (Loren) Fischer, Greenville and her children: Joe (Casey) Fisher; Austin Lauer; Hunter Lauer; Destiny Lauer; Rick Delsman, Whitelaw; 19 great grandchildren and one great grandchild due in September; brothers and sisters include: Kenny (Elaine) Delsman, Manitowoc; Gwen (Robert) Braun, Manitowoc; Lorraine Delsman, Manitowoc; Janice (Hector) Hunt, Madison; David Delsman, Manitowoc; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include; Charlotte (Bob) Kutil, Branch; Marvin (Mona) Tuschl, New Orleans, LA; Gene Winkler, Oshkosh; Tom (Mary) Tuschl, Oshkosh; Cathy (Jim) Tuschl, Oshkosh, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Matilda Delsman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Roman and Albina Tuschl; one brother: Joseph Delsman; two sisters-in-law: Gladys Delsman; Nancy Winkler.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Becker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of his cremated remains to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
