"Funeral for Marvin Glenn Zurfluh, head miller for Crown Flour mills before his retirement 10 years ago, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Mount Scott Funeral home. Private interment will follow in Greenpeace Cemetery. A lifelong Portland resident, Mr. Zurfluh was born March 12, 1909. He was an avid outdoorsman, having climbed Mount St. Helens and Mount Hood many times, also assisting in rescue missions on Mount Hood. Mr. Zurfluh was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Mazamas. He is survived by sons Glenn K. and John M. of Gresham; sisters, Neomi Borgens of Milwaukie, Audrey Viviano of Portland, Verna Elliott of Netarts and four grandchildren."
