William E. Newsome passed away very quietly at his home Wednesday, November 30, 1949. His health had not been too good for the past year, but his death came as a shock to his family and friends. He was born Dec. 7, 1882, the second son of Alexandria Newsome and Frances Lewis Newsome. He lived his entire live at Lottsburg where he was born.
He is survived by his widow, Linda Jewell Newsome; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Fisher; one granddaughter, Linda Lee Fisher, and one brother, Claude Newsome. Services were held Friday, Dec. 2, at Melrose Methodist Church where he has been a member for many years, with internment is the church cemetery.
