ROCKTON - Harley R. McMaster, 86, lifelong Rockton resident, died at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, in Fair Oaks Nursing Home, South Beloit, surrounded by his family. Born Sept. 18, 1915, in Winnebago County, son of Hugh and Elsbeth (Roth) McMaster. Married Norma E. Bell on April 20, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa. Employed 43 years as a machinist at Fairbanks-Morse in Beloit, Wis. Member of Old Stone United Church of Christ. Volunteer fireman in Rockton. Member of Fairbanks Quarter Century Club. Graduate of Hononegah High School, Class of 1936.

Survivors include wife, Norma daughters, Judy A. (Claude) Williams of Atlanta, Ga., Kathleen J. (William) Hedges of Eagle River, Wis. grandchildren, Susanna (Warren) Printz, Gabriel Williams, Brice (Rhonda) Williams, Julianne (John) Berge sisters, Marie DeKeizer and Lillian McMaster, both of Rockton brothers, John McMaster of Phelps, Wis., Dean (Betty) McMaster of Florence, Mont. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents and brothers, Edward and Dale.

Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, with the Rev. Rodney Johnson, pastor of Old Stone United Church of Christ, officiating. Cremation rites to be accorded. Visitation from 1 p.m. to service time Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Harley R. McMaster Memorial Fund.
